Privacy Policy

Latchbell is software that lets independent home-service businesses ("pros") answer leads and take bookings, including bookings made by AI assistants such as Meta Muse, ChatGPT and Claude. This policy covers what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and your choices. Questions: bookings@latchbell.com.

What we collect

Pros' leads	For Thumbtack, Angi, Bark, Yelp and Google leads: only the platform's request ID, ZIP, job details, lead cost, timestamps and status. No customer name or contact details. Customers who book	Name, email, phone, service address, job details, booking time, and which assistant booked it (for example "Muse")	So the pro you booked can do the job and contact you, to email you the confirmation, and to issue your signed receipt
Sign in with Google	Your name, email address and profile picture, as Google shares them	We use only your verified email address, to find your account or start your signup
AI assistants connecting to Latchbell	The assistant's registered name and the access tokens it holds for you	To let the assistant act only within the permissions you approved
Service logs	Tool name, timing and success or failure. Not the content of your requests.	Reliability, security and billing

Latchbell's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who sees it

The pro you book sees your name, contact, address and job details. No other pro does.
Service providers that host and operate Latchbell (hosting, email delivery, sign-in, and AI services that read screenshots you upload), under contract and only to run Latchbell.
Nobody else. We don't sell personal data, license it, or use it for advertising profiles, and we don't use it to decide eligibility for anything.
Receipts carry your name and a hashed (not readable) email, so a receipt can be verified without exposing your contact details.

How long we keep it

Bookings, receipts and leads: while needed to provide the service and for our legal and accounting obligations.
Assistant access tokens: until they expire or you revoke them.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. We'll do it within 30 days of your request, except what we must keep by law.

Your choices

Customers: cancel from your assistant or the link in your confirmation email, disconnect Latchbell in your assistant's settings at any time, or email bookings@latchbell.com to see or delete your data.
Pros: edit your business data in the app, revoke keys, or email us to delete your account.

Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS). Assistant credentials are encrypted at rest. API keys and dashboard links are stored only as hashes. Receipts are cryptographically signed. Access is limited to what each assistant was approved for.

Children

Latchbell is for adults booking services for their own homes and for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We'll post changes here with a new date, and email pros about material ones.
