Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Latchbell. Questions: bookings@latchbell.com. See also our Privacy Policy.

1. What Latchbell is

Latchbell is software. It is not a cleaning or home-service company, not an employer, and not a party to the service between a pro and a customer. Pros are independent businesses.

2. Pros

3. Customers

4. AI assistants

You can let an AI assistant (for example Meta Muse, ChatGPT or Claude) search and book on your behalf. You approve its access, and you can revoke it at any time. Bookings an assistant makes for you after you approve them are your bookings.

5. Acceptable use

No false bookings, no scraping, no attempts to access other accounts, and no using Latchbell to send spam.

6. Receipts

Every booking gets a digitally signed receipt. Its signature proves the receipt came from Latchbell and hasn't been changed. It records what was booked, when, and through which channel or assistant; it doesn't verify the customer's identity.

7. Liability

Latchbell is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Latchbell is not liable for the work a pro does or doesn't do, or for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid Latchbell in the 12 months before the claim or $100.

8. Disputes and governing law

Please contact us first at bookings@latchbell.com; we'll try to resolve any issue within 30 days. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes are handled in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

9. Changes

We'll post changes here with a new date, and email pros about material ones. Continuing to use Latchbell after a change means you accept it.
